Beginner Tip

Remember to have fun. Regardless of your disc golf aspirations, it is much harder to play golf when you are angry. Relax, enjoy yourself, the good shots will come….or they won’t, and that’s ok!

Most Memorable Moment

In my first MA40 tournament back in 2017, I aced the second hole of the tournament. It was a 200ish foot down hill, island hole that was also the cash CTP. $420 for my first tournament ace. I went on to win by 2 strokes. First sanctioned win and first tournament ace in the same day! My best friend traveled to the tournament with me and took a 15 on the same hole. I’ll never let him forget the time I beat him by 14 strokes on a single hole!

Disc Golf Career Goals

I just moved up to MP40 this year, so I am just trying not to be last in every event. It would be cool to eventually qualify and play in a pro worlds.

In The Bag

Drivers

Latitude 64 Gold River

Laser straight shots that don't move much to the left or right.

Westside Discs VIP Hatchet

I carry three. Use them for BH rollers, longer turnovers, hyzer flips, and tunnel shots.

Westside Discs VIP Bear

Stable BH and FH drives. Has more turn than the Felon, but is more reliable than the Stag.

Dynamic Discs Supreme Orbit Sockibomb Felon

I throw these in several different plastics. This is my OS fairway for FH and skippy BH shots. Currently bagging the Ricky Wysocki Supreme Orbit plastic.

Westside Discs VIP Sword

I have more than 30 Swords. Hands down my favorite disc. Heavy VIP Swords are great for my hyzer drives. The Hybrid and TP Swords are really straight. I can throw them hard and they flip up really nicely. I even have an old TP that I use for long BH rollers.

Westside Discs VIP Destiny

I got a bunch of these hybrid Destiny's from a run last year. They all weigh 160-165g and they bomb. I am not a big arm, but I can get these out to 340'+ sometimes. Currently my main max distance driver.

Dynamic Discs Lucid Raider

I am trying these out for OS/headwind drives and longer FH's. In the past I've used Giants and Sheriffs. Still not sure if these will stick around in the long run.

Midrange

Latitude 64 Gold Fuse

Flip up and turnover backhands. Very versatile disc for woods golf.

Dynamic Discs Moonshine Truth

I bought every one of these I can get from the first run in 2014-15. I think I have 5 of them left. They are stable for me with a little turn if I get on them. Reliable finish to the left when thrown on hyzer.

Dynamic Discs Lucid Verdict

Overstable backhands and some forehands. They will turn on a FH for me, so mostly use them for flip-up shots.

Dynamic Discs Lucid Justice

The most reliably OS disc I have ever thrown. I've got 6 aces with the Justice. FH or BH it fades hard and gets to the ground quick.

Putters

Dynamic Discs Classic Blend Judge

My main putting putter since 2014. I probably have more than 60.

Dynamic Discs Fuzion Judge

Besides my main putting pair, I always carry a thrower. During the summer it is usually a fuzion, but I switch to softs when it is cold. If I can reach the basket with a Judge, I am probably going to throw it.

Westside Discs BT Hard Swan 1 Reborn

This are really flippy. These are mainly used for long putts, outside 100'. They have so much glide! I sometimes use them for hyzer flip to turnover drives in the woods.

Dynamic Discs Prime Moonshine Culprit

This is my go-to approach disc. Probably the closest thing to a Zone that the trilogy brands have ever produced. Reliably overstable but still enough glide for my noodle arm.
