Joshua Patin - Opelousas, Louisiana

Beginner Tip

Start out by throwing putters and midranges. Learn to throw those well before moving up to fairways and eventually distance drivers. I often see people trying to throw the biggest rim distance drivers before learning good form.

Most Memorable Moment

Hitting a $1000 ace while being filmed in front of a crowd of spectators, I also broke the course record during that same round shooting a career high rated round of 1078!!

Disc Golf Career Goals

To be a good example of a professional disc golfer. To inspire the next generation of disc golfers and to become one of the top 50 highest rated players in the world.

In The Bag

Drivers

Dynamic Discs VIP Adder

I use this for big hyzers and windy days.

Latitude 64 Royal Grand Rive

This is my main distance driver. I use this for the majority of my backhand distance shots.

Dynamic Discs Hybrid Defender (Fuzion pictured)

I use this strictly for sidearms. The hybrid plastic run is pretty overstable and I love the consistent stability for my sidearm shots.

Westside Discs Tournament Fortress

For controlled distance that fills the gap between my distance and fairway drivers.

Westside Discs Tournament Ahti

This is my work horse overstable disc, I use this for backhands, sidearms, and thumbers.

Latitude 64 Gold Explorer

I use this for straight shots and turnovers. It just holds the line and glides for days.

Latitude 64 Royal Grand Orbit Glory

This is like a slower and more overstable Explorer. It has a little more control for shorter distance shots and if the wind picks up.

Midrange

Westside Discs Tournament Gatekeeper

This is my favorite midrange. I can use it for hyzers, straight shots, and turnovers. Its torque resistant and glides for days.

Dynamic Discs Fuzion Verdict

I use this for hyzer shots sidearm and backhand.

Latitude 64 Opto-X Compass

I use this for straight sidearms. It feels really comfortable in my hand and I am really accurate with it on my sidearms.

Westside Discs Tournament Anvil (VIP pictured)

I use this mostly for upshots sidearm and backhand or windy days. Everyone has to have that consistent wind fighter.

Putters

Westside Discs BT Hard Shield

This is my main putter. I'm a spin putter and the Shield has good stability even on windy days that works great for my putt.

Westside Discs BT Hard Shield

I use a beat in Shield as a thrower for straight shots and turnovers.

Westside Discs Tournament Shield

I use this for stable shots off of the tee.
