Beginner Tip

It sounds cliche’, but start slow. Learn how to throw putters and mids first, and slowly add more speed as you get more comfortable. Learning how to play and throwing 14 speed discs is like getting your driver’s license and driving a Ferrari.. not a good idea.

Most Memorable Moment

My most memorable disc golf moment was a come-from-behind win in a doubles tournament, with my daughter when she was 14. Both of our partners had to cancel the week of the tournament, so we decided to partner up. We started out down by 3 after the first round but managed to cut that down to 2 going into the final round. When it was all said and done, we won by 2. It was pretty epic!

Disc Golf Career Goals

My career goals are pretty simple:
-Never stop improving.
-Leave the sport better than I found it.
-Win a Major.

In The Bag

Latitude 64 Opto Ballista Pro

Absolute MAX distance! These things go so crazy far.

Dynamic Discs Lucid Raider

Controlled distance. I love this disc for backhand and sidearm drives where I need both distance and accuracy. Very predictable!

Westside Discs VIP Fortress

Super underrated disc! It says it's a 10 speed, but it flies more like an 11. This is my overstable work horse! Again, it's great for both backhand and sidearm drives. Super versatile.

Westside Discs Tournament-X Longbowman (VIP pictured)

Hyzer, hyzer, hyzer! This overstable, small-rimmed fairway driver is easy to throw, and covers a multitude of shots for me. Again, equally efficient for back and sidearm.

Latitude 64 Hybrid Explorer (Opto pictured)

I could literally play a full round with only this disc. It's my go-to for everything 320'-415', on just about any line. Easily the straightest and most thrown disc in my bag!

Westside Discs BT Hard Gatekeeper (VIP pictured)

This is the least stable Gatekeeper in my bag, and that's by design. I use this disc mainly in the woods where I need to shape shots through tight wooded fairways.

Westside Discs Hybrid Gatekeeper (VIP pictured)

This is my main thrower. Much like the Hybrid Explorer, this disc is super straight, even at high arm speeds which gives me the confidence to throw it with power accurately.

Westside Discs Proto Gatekeeper (VIP pictured)

The Gatekeeper has taken over my bag. I carry 4 to cover a variety of shots while maintaining the familiar feel of throwing the same mold. The Proto Gatekeeper is easily the most overstable run of this disc.

Westside Discs VIP-X Glimmer Gatekeeper (VIP pictured)

These discs are beefy! Acts as a bridge between my Gatekeepers and the Anvil. Great for utility shots and sidearm approaches/ upshots.

Westside Discs Special Edition Anvil (Tournament Burst pictured)

Board flight and super overstable! This is my headwind fighter.

Westside Discs BT Hybrid Anvil (VIP pictured)

Same stability I've learned to trust in the Anvil, but with a softer feel in the hand. These are great upshot discs seeing as there's not a lot of ground play with this blend.

Latitude 64 Zero Medium Keystone

Point and shoot! Super glidey...these things don't take a lot of power to get it in the chains. It goes exactly where I throw it. Not the best throwing putter, especially in windy conditions, but on the greens it's deadly accurate!

Westside Discs BT Hard Burst Shield

My main throwing putter! Whether off the tee or as an upshot, this disc gets it done. Surprisingly stable, even with sidearm approaches/ upshots.
